Pediatric Dentistry in Glendale AZ
As a parent, you want the best for your children in every way. At AZ Cosmetic and Family Dentistry, we completely understand this need.
One of our goals is to provide all the dental care your family needs in one convenient, comfortable location. Dr. Narra has an excellent understanding of the unique dental needs of children, and you can trust her – and the rest of our team – to provide the best possible dental care for your children.
What is a visit like for a child at AZ Cosmetic and Family Dentistry? For starters, we keep it fun. We understand that visiting the dentist for the first time can be scary – so many new people and unfamiliar surroundings. We help your child understand that the dentist’s office is a comfortable and pleasant place to be by playing games and engaging your child.
At your child’s first dental visit (which we recommend that they have by their first birthday), we’ll introduce the friendly members of the team, take your child for a ride in the dentist’s chair, and let them explore a bit using simple and child-friendly instruments like mirrors. If your child is cooperative, we’ll even do a basic examination.
We’ll also discuss topics that are important to you and your child such as how to brush your child’s gums and those first few teeth, answer your questions about fluoride and other preventive treatments, and provide advice about common concerns such as bottle and pacifier use and thumb sucking.

Dental Care Throughout Your Child’s Ages and Stages
Throughout childhood, the teeth and mouth are constantly in a stage of active development. Teeth come in, fall out, and are then replaced by the permanent teeth. Regular visits are a must to keep a close eye on the changes that are taking place so that we can track development and catch any problems early.
These years are absolutely crucial when it comes to both the development of a healthy and attractive smile and the health habits that will stay with children for the rest of their lives. Starting early and encouraging good brushing and flossing habits (and practicing them yourself!) will instill in your child a sense of self-pride and responsibility.
Research is showing us just how connected our dental health is to the health of the rest of our bodies. Healthy teeth and gums are amazing gifts you can give your kids that will serve them well the rest of their lives.
Kids love coming to our office, and we enjoy treating them. It’s incredibly rewarding to care for a child from the beginning and watch them grow up with good habits and a beautiful smile.
