Will people be able to tell that I’m wearing Invisalign?

Return to FAQs

Invisalign is a transparent piece of thin plastic that is worn over your teeth to move them into correct alignment. Whether or not someone can see it will mostly depend on how close they are to you. From up close, they may be able to tell that you have something over your teeth, but it will not be as obvious as metal or even clear braces would be.

From a distance, nobody will be able to see anything over your teeth. This makes Invisalign perfect for people who need to speak publicly or give presentations and don’t want their professional image to be tarnished by braces.

Invisalign can also be removed, when needed, which can help to increase confidence if you are going to be speaking or presenting in close quarters. The aligners should be worn for a minimum of 22 hours per day, so if you have any concerns about this, please speak with Dr. Narra since leaving them out for more than the recommended amount of time could result in your treatment taking more time than predicted.

Invisalign is a great option for just about everybody – including teenagers. If you are interested in Invisalign, please call our Glendale dental office for a consultation with Dr. Narra.
