Will insurance cover my dental implant?
The answer to this is (as it often is to questions regarding dental insurance): “It depends on your insurance plan.”
As dental implants become the gold standard for replacing missing teeth and insurance companies begin to recognize the long-term benefits (and possible savings) of dental implants, some dental plans are beginning to pay for the procedure. Some plans will pay for the surgery and not the restoration. And some plans still simply don’t cover the procedure at all.
The best way to find out if dental implants are covered by your insurance is to call up the customer service number on your card and ask. Of course, you are also welcome to call our office and one of our friendly front desk staff members can contact your insurance for you. We can discuss what your coverage will pay for and how much your out-of-pocket costs will be.
If your insurance doesn’t pay or you still have a high out-of-pocket cost, we can still help you fit dental implants into your budget. We accept a number of financing options, including Care Credit, as well as major credit cards.
